Richie Valens (Valenzuela) was born and raised in Pacoima and attended Pacoima middle school.
He died when he was only 17 years old, however he earned a number of gold records including
"La Bamba" and "Donna". I originally painted this mural in 1985.
In 2009 we completely restored this mural during the hot San Fernando Valley summer of 2009.
